Privacy Policy
Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how RocketCompute collects, uses, protects or otherwise handles data you provide through this platform or otherwise using our products.
When does RocketCompute collect information?
RocketCompute collects information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, enter information on our site, install our Data Collection Agent on your servers or request service provision through your registered account.
What kinds of information does RocketCompute collect?
When registering on RocketCompute's site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help you with your experience on our platform. RocketCompute collects data about the configurations of your systems, once you install our Data Collection Agent we provide you or integrate our platform with your existing monitoring services. For instance, RocketCompute collects metadata about the packages installed on your systems, including the package name (such as 'glibc'), version, release, epoch, release date and vendor. Data Collection Agent is based on Open Source project Telegraf (https://www.influxdata.com/time-series-platform/telegraf/). To get a better understanding of what data could be collected by Telegraf, please refer to the project's documentation (https://docs.influxdata.com/telegraf/v1.15/introduction/). We collect no data outside of the Telegraf's capabilities. We neither collect nor have means to collect any user data or source codes.
Can you control what information is sent to us?
Yes, there is a way you can control what information is sent to us. You can modify the code of the Data Collection Agent script we provide through the platform to make sure that it does exactly what we describe, i.e. installs specific packages of Telegraf Open Source Server Agent and tunes it to report data to our DB.

You may also refer to metrics visualization @ monitor.rocketcompute.com (provided for free) to check what exactly is being collected and then used to provide you with performance analysis and optimization advice.
How does RocketCompute protect your information?
RocketCompute's website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.

RocketCompute does not use Malware Scanning. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of people who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

In addition, all sensitive/ credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. As such, RocketCompute leverages Stripe — online payment processing solution — to carry out online payments for services provided on our platform. The data Stripe will process includes payment method information (such as credit or debit card number, or bank account information), purchase amount, and date of purchase. To get a better understanding of how Stripe safeguards and retains your personal data, please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy (https://stripe.com/privacy).

RocketCompute implements a variety of security measures when a user places an order, enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Can you see what data RocketCompute has about you?
In addition to data you provided to register an account on our platform, RocketCompute stores an 'inspection' copy of the data RocketCompute collects from each system in a temporary file on the system, so you can review and see exactly what is being sent. RocketCompute stores only one such copy; it is overwritten every time new telemetry data is collected and sent. Also, RocketCompute stores timeseries data of machines you have setted up for monitoring. You can see this data via metrics visualization @ monitor.rocketcompute.com (provided for free) to check what exactly is being collected and then used to provide you with performance analysis and optimization advice.
